Life-cycle assessments

All SIG life-cycle assessments are ISO-compliant, conducted by the independent Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (IFEU), and critically reviewed by an independent panel. The reviewers look at all the ecology-related factors arising during the carton’s lifecycle — from the raw materials it uses through to the manufacturing processes and production of the finished sleeves.
