Winesmiths is an Australian brand that grows, produces, and packages wine. Formerly a sub-brand under the Yalumba label, another noteworthy Australian producer, Winesmiths became a standalone line of fine wines in 2020. They make premium, vegan bag-in-box wine using locally-grown grapes and put quality above all else.
The challenge: slower sipping means freshness is key
Expanding their portfolio based on this, Winesmiths began offering a two-liter bag-in-box package for wine drinkers looking for premium wine without sacrificing shelf life. Due to the nature of a bag-in-box package format, the wine stays fresher longer, allowing for the wine to be enjoyed longer. The result: “sacrificing nothing” throughout the supply chain
As a brand known to "sacrifice nothing" for the sake of quality, Winesmiths believes that motto applies to its sustainability efforts.
With flexible packaging, Winesmiths minimized its environmental impact: boxes are made from recycled content, while the bag-in-box holds the equivalent of 2.5 bottles of wine, but without the weight, raw materials, or greenhouse gases associated with the manufacturing or transport of glass bottles.
