Together with partners, the foundation’s purpose is to identify, drive and promote activities and projects that strengthen civil society and create positive impacts for the environment. These goals are consistent with SIG’s sustainability strategy – the net-positive commitment to contribute more to society and the environment than the company takes out.
Cartons for Good
In Bangladesh, where the foundation is running the pilot project, surplus food is preserved in SIG packages for schools to offer underprivileged children regular lunches throughout the year. This means that they can come to school instead of having to work for their food.
In future, the initiative aims to intensify partnership with SIG customers to use SIG technology to turn food loss and waste affected fruits and vegetable into nutrition for those who need it most.

Recycle for Good
Through the Recycle for Good program, SIG and the SIG Foundation seek to change behavior by encouraging people to drop off their recyclable waste at collection points or arrange for home pickup, promoting the circular economy.
