Want to start your career right after you graduate?
With direct entry to SIG, you’ll be taking on responsibilities from the get-go. So, if you are highly motivated and bring your passion to everything you do, you could be our new trainee colleague.
As an SIG graduate, you will get on-the-job training and the time to systematically learn the ropes. You’ll quickly take on responsibilities but will always have your team to help you with technical and professional assistance.
You will also have access to a range of options for further training along with global opportunities for advancing your career.
Looking for apprenticeship?
Lay the foundation for your career with sound training in an international company that is one of the best in its sector. Apprenticeship takes three years and can be shortened to 2.5 years if you perform particularly well.
As an SIG apprentice, you will undergo a structured training program to acquire specific skills and knowledge in a particular profession. You’ll have a combination of practical on-the-job training and theoretical classroom instruction.
Looking for an internship?
At SIG, you will get a real hands-on experience in a global environment. Test the theoretical expertise you’ve acquired, as well as your own skills, and start to build up your first professional network.
As an intern, you’ll be supporting experts in your chosen area and assigned specific responsibilities within a project or day-to-day operations. You’ll work in an international team of experts together with other interns. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive support package and salary. And you’ll gain constructive feedback and advice for your professional future.
Internships are primarily at our site in Linnich (Germany) but opportunities are also possible at our sites in Wittenberg (Germany), Neuhausen (Switzerland), Saalfelden (Austria), and Cluj (Romania). Good knowledge of English is essential, and we ask for a minimum of 2-6 months availability.
Are you still studying?
You can work at SIG part time to supplement your learning with real experience, if you are pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Diploma qualification. As a student, you’ll get a unique chance to apply your ideas, passion, and academic curiosity to numerous projects – gaining an insight into how the innovations of tomorrow are created.
You could also undertake your final thesis at SIG. From SIG, you can expect ongoing support from a personal mentor and colleagues, payment in line with industry standards, and the opportunity to establish and expand your professional network.
We’re looking for students who’ve completed either a foundation course, intermediate diploma or fourth semester in their Bachelor programs. We also expect to see a track record of good study results, a high level of commitment, a desire to approach problems proactively, and the ability to work in a team.
