Expert take: What’s on the menu in foodservice?
In today’s constantly changing landscape of consumer preferences and shifting business priorities, the trends, challenges, and opportunities in foodservice are evolving too. Carmen Houston, our in-house specialist, shares her insights on what's next in foodservice, including the trends and challenges ahead.
Let’s take the conversation further…
How do you see emerging food and beverage trends impacting the foodservice sector?
The preference for plant-based is a global food and beverage trend that provides significant opportunities. We can work with the industry to expand the existing dairy-based foodservice channel to include plant-based products. This can create additional revenue for beverage companies and restaurants alike.
How do you think foodservice establishments can be more profitable in this competitive market?
We really encourage maximizing opportunities by offering value-added products to existing customers. The key is to ask – what else could they be selling to a customer who is picking up their regular drink, be it coffee or a health shake.
