Training as a service
In part five of At Your Service we focus on training as a service and how we are helping customers fully understand and utilise their equipment.
When it comes to service solutions, there are plenty to pick from: maybe you prefer receiving online or in-person customer support. Or perhaps you are more swayed by digital platforms designed to connect you to your service partner when an emergency arises. But what about receiving training as a service? And what does this typically entail?
Why training matters
At SIG, we believe that by training our customers how to master their equipment, we can create long-term value for both them and ourselves. Enabling manufacturers to optimise production and overall performance while giving our solutions a chance to deliver their very best. Take a look at what we have to offer:
Operator training
With this programme, manufacturers and their staff can learn how to operate their SIG filling machines, applicators and downstream equipment – as well as how to accurately monitor the filling process.
Technical training
Here, the aim is to teach participants about the different components within their SIG equipment so they can become experts at spotting even the most minor issue – thereby minimising unplanned downtime.
Quality control training
This course offers guidance on how to operate and monitor aseptic filling lines, covering topics such as commercial sterility, product sampling, the basic principles of aseptic filling, and how to monitor the sterile filling process.
Management training
If you are a production manager, shift leader, supervisor or quality management staff member, this programme teaches participants how to control and optimise production and quality across an entire aseptic packaging system.
Customised training
And finally, if what you want is something more broad, we can build a unique training programme based on your exact needs.
Where we offer training
To ensure we reach as many of our customers as possible, we have five training centres located in Brazil, China, Germany, Thailand and the UAE, with a total of 23 international trainers and 7 local trainers spread across them. Customers can visit centres to take part in practical and theoretical training courses, and we also offer some training on-site provided there is a filling machine to work with.
The proof is in the production line
To understand just how important training and other support services can be, we can look to Saudi Arabia’s Almarai, the leading food and beverage manufacturer and distributor in the Middle East. When Almarai made a plan to optimise production while minimising downtime, the manufacturer chose our Manufacturing Excellence Solution to reach its goals – in addition to receiving help from our experts.
In the final part of our series, we look back on all aspects of service and how service solutions are essential to manufacturing excellence. Join us by subscribing to our exclusive bi-weekly newsletter the SIGnals Update.
