Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Helping our customers deliver nutrition and hydration to people around the world is our core business and the purpose of our company. We’re proud of the role that our packs play in the global food system – bringing safe and affordable food and drink to millions of people every day.

For many years, we have made donations instead of giving Christmas gifts to our business partners. This year is no exception.

We are committed to reduce food loss and waste. So is FoodForward SA, an organization in South Africa that connects a world of excess to a world of need by recovering quality edible surplus food from the consumer goods supply chain and distributing it to community organizations that serve the poor.

With this year’s donation, we support FoodForward SA in providing over 920,000 people with access to nutritious meals daily – mainly focusing on vulnerable women and children – as well as supporting their health and skills development.

At SIG, we are engaging with local people to understand how we can make a difference in our communities as part of our wider ambition to deliver positive impact for people and the planet.

On 18 July 2024, the South African SIG team dedicated their Mandela Day community service to a FoodForward SA event. They helped sort and pack essential food items for those in need.
